We are professional coaches, trainers and facilitators with over three decades of experience.

LESLIE COTTER, MD

Leslie is a group facilitator, trainer, executive coach, psychiatrist and psychotherapist. She co-founded Young Women Empowered, a Seattle-based nonprofit that centers the needs of young women of color, and she served as board president for eight years. As a coach Leslie works with individuals and teams who want to find deeper meaning and effectiveness in their personal and professional lives. She works with corporate teams, healthcare professionals, teachers, youth workers, young people plus more. As a psychiatrist, Leslie works with a range of clients from people wanting to improve their lives to people living with serious mental illness. 

 

Leslie has held associate professorships at the University of British Columbia and McMaster University (Ontario). In 2005 she trained as an Executive Coach at Breakthrough Enterprises in San Rafael, California. She trained in facilitation with Partners for Youth Empowerment and is a member of their international facilitation team. 

 

Leslie is passionate about helping people bring forth their innate gifts and talents. She has a firm belief in people's capacity to find their own solutions. She combines her psychiatric skills with a positive coaching approach and a warm and empowering leadership style. Leslie has extensive experience working with people from all walks of life and a deep interest in what makes people and organizations tick.

PEGGY TAYLOR, M.Ed.

Peggy is a leadership trainer, group facilitator, executive coach, artist and creativity specialist known for her innovations incorporating creativity into programs for adults and youth. In 1996 she co-founded Partners for Youth Empowerment, an award-winning international service organization dedicated to providing transformational programs for youth. She later co-founded Young Women Empowered, a Seattle-based nonprofit that centers the needs of young women of color. Peggy has trained several thousand adults in the US and internationally in creative facilitation and leadership. She has also designed and facilitated gatherings ranging from 15-person board retreats to conferences of 2,500 participants.

Peggy graduated cum laude from Lesley University with a Masters of Education in Creative Arts in Learning. She received executive coaching training from Breakthrough Enterprises in San Rafael, California. She coaches individuals and incorporates coaching principles into her work with groups. 

 

Peggy is co-author of Catch the Fire: An Artful Guide to Unleashing the Creative Power of Youth, Adults, and Communities and of the best-selling Chop Wood, Carry Water: A Guide to Finding Spiritual Fulfillment in Everyday Life.

 

Peggy is an inspirational teacher who can awaken the creative spark in individuals and groups. Her warmth, humor and facilitation skills create a safe, supportive environment for people to stretch themselves and deepen their journey of self-discovery.
